The Greater Bay Area Elite University Entrepreneurship Camp is a prestigious youth innovation initiative co-organized by top universities across mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau—including Tsinghua, Peking University, Fudan, Shanghai Jiao Tong, USTC, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Lingnan University Hong Kong, and Macau University of Science and Technology. As the student representative from Guangdong University of Technology, I joined an interdisciplinary team to tackle real-world social challenges through entrepreneurial thinking and cross-cultural collaboration.

During the camp, our team conducted immersive field research across Hong Kong—visiting university entrepreneurship hubs, studying successful startup ecosystems, exploring Hong Kong’s unique “屋企(family/community)” culture, and engaging with outstanding social enterprises. Drawing from these insights, we developed a “Cloud-Adopt-Plant-Pet” solution within 48 hours, a rural revitalization initiative designed to bridge urban consumers with rural communities through digital engagement and sustainable agriculture. I led the communications strategy for the team and translated our research findings into compelling narratives. As the camp concluded, I was selected to host the Outstanding Fellows Salon—facilitating a multi-dimensional reflection session where top participants from across the Greater Bay Area shared entrepreneurial insights, personal growth, and cross-cultural learnings from the experience.

The impact: successfully delivered a complete rural revitalization proposal within 48 hours, collaborated with representatives from 10+ top universities across the Greater Bay Area, and deepened understanding of Hong Kong’s social enterprise ecosystem and cross-regional innovation culture. This project encompasses social innovation research, cross-institutional team collaboration, rapid prototyping communication, and rural revitalization strategy.
